Equip Academy Opens Registration for Online Education Sessions

Aiming to help contractors and landscapers tackle modern business challenges, Equip Academy has opened its doors for “dozens of education sessions” through its online portal.
As an arm of construction trade show Equip Exposition, the online academy has the backing of one of the industry’s largest events. The training package will also be available in-person through the show, which drew about 30,000 people to Louisville, Kentucky last year.
But for those who miss this year’s show in Louisville, everything will be available online for a flat $170 fee, the show’s staff says.
“The economy is rapidly changing. Pricing, equipment, recruitment, training, service portfolios and marketing can make or break the success of any landscaping business,” says Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) trade association.

This year, the trade show’s education tracks will focus on a number of different areas for contractors, including hiring, workplace retention, and new business opportunities. Additionally, the conference will showcase women’s leadership, young company growth, snow removal, and leadership education for C-suite officers.
“With Equip Academy, we’re building an education platform that supports how our landscapers and contractors prefer to learn – whether in-person at Equip or online after the show,” says Kiser.
Additionally, some education sessions will also be available in Spanish, with all attendees finishing classes receiving a certificate. HGTV host Mike Holmes will serve as the show’s keynote speaker, offering “real-world insight on raising standards and demanding quality that pushes the entire industry forward.”
“With recent market and labor uncertainties, Equip is the best value to get help with business challenges for landscape contractors,” says Kiser.
Registration for this year’s Equip show is open right now for $25 through May 31. The show will begin its two-city rotation in 2029 with a move to Orlando, before moving back to Louisville in 2030.
