Yanmar Compact Equipment North America has now produced 50,000 machines at its Grand Rapids, Minnesota manufacturing facility, the company announced June 18.

The lucky 50,000th machine, a TL100VS compact track loader, left the production line in May 2026, the company says. At this year’s Employee Appreciation BBQ and Town Hall, the company affixed decals to both machines number 50,000 and 50,001, with help from the Grand Rapids production team.

“Reaching 50,000 units is more than a production milestone; it is a reflection of the strength of our people, the quality of our products, and the investments we are making in North American manufacturing,” says Anna Christine Sgro, president of Yanmar Compact Equipment North America. “With more than $60 million committed to Grand Rapids, we have the production foundation, technology, and team to support our dealers, serve our customers, and grow our position in the compact equipment market for years to come.”

Investing in Yanmar’s future

The company says the latest milestone is powered by its people, its innovation, and its recent investments. Since acquiring ASV in 2019, the company has invested more than $32 million into production automation, innovation, and manufacturing technology, it says.

Additionally, the company has put a major piece of that funding into facility improvements in Grand Rapids. Another $30 million investment is expected in the coming years to expand engineering, improve capacity, and support future product R&D, the company adds.

This most recent milestone, Yanmar representatives say, comes as a byproduct of the firm’s accelerated product strategy. Offering a full lineup of compact equipment machines, the Minnesotan company’s unification of ASV and Yanmar has allowed for heightened manufacturing numbers, it says.

“At CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, the company announced the unification of its ASV and Yanmar compact track loader portfolios under the Yanmar brand,” officials say. “The combined lineup creates one of the industry’s most versatile compact track loader offerings, with two distinct undercarriage technologies, multiple frame sizes, and solutions for construction, land management, landscaping, utilities, rental, and agriculture.”
