Yanmar Compact Equipment North America is expanding its dealership network in the Great White North, adding Madsen Construction Equipment to its ranks in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Madsen’s addition “reflects Yanmar’s continued investment in strengthening its Canadian dealer network,” the company says. Additionally, representatives note the addition further expands access to equipment, expertise, and customer support that Yanmar’s base needs throughout product ownership.

“Canada continues to be an important growth market for Yanmar, and strengthening our dealer network is central to how we serve our customers,” says Anna Christine Sgro, president of Yanmar Compact Equipment North America. “Madsen brings strong local market knowledge, established customer relationships and equipment expertise in Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Together, we can expand access to Yanmar equipment while providing the responsive local support our customers expect from both Yanmar and our dealer partners.”

Expanding in Atlantic Canada

The partnership further expands Yanmar’s presence in both the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, but in Atlantic Canada as a whole. The company says the equipment provider collaboration will provide contractors and equipment owners with more access than ever to Yanmar’s growing compact equipment portfolio, which is further backed by sales, parts, and service support at the local level.

For Yanmar, Madsen brings extensive compact equipment sales and service experience, officials say. Adding Yanmar’s equipment portfolio expands its equipment offering for both contractors and equipment owners throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Additionally, the company says those offerings will be backed by machine selection, parts knowledge, and ongoing service.

“Our customers count on us to recommend equipment with confidence and support it for the long term,” said Geoff Pearcey, dealer principal of Madsen Construction Equipment. “Yanmar is a premium brand we are proud to add to our portfolio. We look forward to helping customers across our province put these machines to work.”

As of 2026, Yanmae Compact Equipment North America has more than 25 authorized dealer locations in Canada.
