JCB-maintained motocross facility spawns championship riders

Two riders who train at the world-class Baker Factory Professional Motocross Training Facility in Clermont, Fla., recently became champions in their respective series. Founded and owned by renowned trainer Aldon Baker, the recently opened 90-acre facility features purpose-built motocross and supercross tracks maintained, conditioned and evolved with JCB’s heavy equipment.

Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey became the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 2015 Series Champion in a dominant performance only rivaled by his team mate and fellow Baker Factory training partner, Marvin Musquin. Marvin, also with Red Bull KTM, won the 2015 Eastern Regional 250SX Class Championship, as well as the Dave Coombs Sr. East/West Shootout Championship. The series began in January and included a total of 17 televised races around the country with over a million spectators cheering on their favorite riders and teams in one of the fastest-growing sports in North America.

“It’s great to see Ryan Dungey and Marvin Masquin experiencing such success following their time with Aldon Baker at his new training facility,” said Thom Peebles, Vice President of Marketing for JCB North America. “Aldon demands the best, and his high standards extend from his personalized training regimens with his riders to the equipment used to construct and maintain his facility. The fact that Aldon and his riders are achieving these fantastic results is a testament to Aldon and the facility he has built with the help of JCB equipment.”

The JCB equipment currently being used at the facility includes a 300T compact track loader, 3CX-14 backhoe, JS190 excavator and 427ZX wheel loader. MacKinnon JCB in Orlando provides ongoing equipment service and maintenance. When construction is fully complete, the Baker Factory Motocross Training Facility will feature an indoor training area, athlete accommodations and meeting space, in addition to its five motocross and supercross tracks.

Aldon Baker is a former professional mountain bike racer who returned to the sport as a professional trainer specializing in motorsports. He has found unparalleled success in motocross and supercross athletes with over 20 championships from his riders including Ricky Carmichael, James “Bubba” Stewart, Ryan Villopoto, Ken Roczen and more. He has also taken World Moto GP and NASCAR drivers to multiple wins working with Nicky Hayden, Jamie McMurray and others.

“JCB’s equipment has been an ideal match for our facility,” Baker said. “JCB shares our values of innovation, quality and most importantly — hard work. JCB uses our facility as an ‘endurance testing facility’ for its equipment because our machines are always on the go, building, maintaining and rebuilding to simulate the conditions our riders will be racing at their next event. The folks at MacKinnon JCB are key to our successful partnership. They are our go to source for maximizing our equipment. Without JCB equipment, our riders wouldn’t have access to the type of world-class facility that we’ve been able to establish here in Florida.”
