Caterpillar, One of the World’s Top Makers of Compact Equipment

Let’s put this company in perspective. With 2020 sales and revenues of $41.7 billion, Caterpillar Inc. is the world’s leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives. The famous brand has been making equipment since 1925, and today Cat offers everything for dozers and diesel engines to skid steers and mini excavators to training and safety services. These products and services, backed by a global dealer network, operate through three primary segments — Construction Industries, Resource Industries and Energy and Transportation — while providing financing and related services through Cat’s Financial Products segment. The brand makes all types of compact equipment, and here are a few examples.
