Construction equipment titan Bobcat Co. has expanded its forestry industry offerings with its new factory-installed Land Management Package, available on the Bobcat T86-2 compact track loader.

The team designed the machine’s new package for mulching, right of way maintenance, trail development, property improvement, and land-clearing operations, the company says. The package combines specialized machine guarding with operator comfort features and performance enhancements, all aiming to help customers tackle more challenging jobsite conditions.

“Land management and forestry jobs demand equipment that can stand up to tough conditions,” says Jeremy Harms, product manager for Bobcat. “This package gives customers a T86-2 that’s factory-equipped with the features and protection needed for demanding land management applications, helping maximize productivity from day one.”

The new Land Management Package is under the T86-2 Platform umbrella, the largest and most powerful compact track loader in the entire Bobcat lineup. The company says the machine now delivers up to 115 horsepower, as well as a 3,925-pound rated operating capacity and Super Flow hydraulics, sporting up to 42 gallons of hydraulic flow per minute.

Designing for high-demand applications

The new Land Management Package includes more than 10 factory-installed accessories, the firm says, designed to help shield key components from various debris and other hazards during forestry work.

“Forestry and land management work often require long operating hours in hot, debris-heavy environments,” Bobcat representatives say. “The T86-2’s integrated cooling system is designed to support extended operation, while the Land Management Package adds factory-installed components intended to help protect key machine areas.”

The new package is able to simplify machine preparation for dealers, Bobcat officials say. The machinery aims to reduce the time and labor often associated with installation of forestry-related accessories after machine production finishes.

Other Bobcat technologies, including the firm’s AI Jobsite Companion service, are available for the new machine package to provide operators with additional tools in the field. These services promise to improve overall efficiency for jobsite operators.

The T86-2 Land Management Package is available now through Bobcat’s dealership network.
