Case Will Only Make 50 Models of Its Very Limited J.I. Case Signature Edition Backhoe Loader
In case you’ve missed it, Case Construction Equipment has been all in on backhoes this year. Just in 2024 alone, the company has launched two side-shift models, an electric unit and now its limited-edition 580 Super N Construction King. And when we say limited, we mean it.
Case is releasing only 50 of these rare 580 Super N Construction King backhoe loaders to commemorate the company’s history of innovation. The unique J.I. Case Signature Edition backhoe loaders start hitting select Case dealers this month and feature a distinctive, show-stopping look.
From the press release:
“The 580 Super N backhoe loader has always been an iconic machine in terms of jobsite performance. Now, we’re giving it an iconic jobsite presence with this signature edition,” said Terry Dolan, vice president — North America, CASE Construction Equipment. “Who says your workhorse machine can’t also be a show horse?”
According to Case, the uniquely designed 580 Super N backhoe loaders feature a metallic silver and dark gray color scheme, the throwback Case “tread” logo and an air-suspension seat with special upholstery. The machines also boast individually numbered badge plates that bear the signature of Case founder Jerome Increase Case.
“We’ve designed this machine to celebrate the ingenuity and work ethic of the man who started it all for this company,” Dolan said. “It’s an ethos we carry on to this day and we want to commemorate him with a machine that delivers both standout performance and presence on the job.”
More on the Limited-Edition 580 Super N
The design of the limited-edition model is a nod to Case’s rich, 180-year history of innovation and manufacturing. This history includes a strong focus on backhoes. For example, the company was the first to introduce a factory-integrated backhoe loader in 1957. And, as mentioned before, Case was also the first company to commercially release an electric backhoe loader this year. Click here to learn more about the electric 580EV.
The 97-hp J.I. Case Signature Edition backhoe loader shares the same industry-leading breakout forces and speeds of the standard 580 Super N. It also offers similar features like four-wheel-drive, PowerLift and Extendahoe technology, ProControl swing dampening and ECO Mode for fuel savings. Case noted that different configurations are available with PowerDrive Powershift or Power Shuttle transmission options and pilot or the popular Case foot swing controls.
