Werk-Brau Announces a New Line of Tree Shear Attachments
Werk-Brau has released a new line of tree shear attachments built for a wide range of applications, including energy wood harvesting, roadside clearing, landscaping and more. The company’s TS series allows contractors to cut, grip, rotate, stack and manage trees with greater control in demanding applications. These attachments boast continuous 360-degree rotation, a Hardox cutting blade, felling support, Bluetooth rotation control, grapple functionality and patented eBoost hydraulic technology.
According to the press release, models are available for compact excavators from 1.8 to 3 metric tons, as well as skid steers, compact track loaders, compact wheel loaders, loaders and telehandlers ranging from 1.3 to 21 metric tons. Werk-Brau explained its tree shears effectively clear trees, manage vegetation and reduce attachment changes in the field.
“Customers are looking for attachments that help them work faster, stay in control of the material and get more done with the equipment they already have,” said Trevor Ballinger, vice president of sales at Werk-Brau. “The Werk-Brau Tree Shear brings cutting, handling, rotation and grapple-style versatility into one attachment, giving contractors and equipment owners a practical way to take on more forestry and land clearing work with less switching and more control.”
The company noted that its largest tree shear can cut trees up to 12.5 in. in diameter (8 and 10 in. respectively for smaller models). Werk-Brau explained that once a tree is cut, the attachment’s continuous 360-degree rotation allows operators to precisely manipulate material, improve control and place trees into cleaner, more manageable piles. This is vital when working along roadsides, fence rows, field edges, utility corridors, fire prevention areas and storm cleanup sites where space, safety and productivity are concerns.

The attachment features a removable Hardox cutting blade that allows it to function as both a tree shear and a grapple. Werk-Brau said the blade is designed to be sharpened while installed on the machine or removed for off-site sharpening when preferred. When the cutting blade is removed, operators can use the attachment for grapple-style handling. This versatility gives customers a single tool that can cut trees, hold material, rotate continuously, stack debris and handle brush or storm-damaged material.
A felling support on the attachment helps operators better manage trees during cutting and placement. The company said rotation is controlled through a Bluetooth-connected switch, and the system requires only one set of dual-acting hydraulic lines to run — making it easier to pair with a wide range of machines.
