Hector, Minnesota-based equipment manufacturer Loftness has updated its Kwik Cut brand of brush cutter attachments, company officials say. Loftness first introduced the product in 2023.

Announced May 22, the redesigned skid steer and compact track loader attachment features more heavily reinforced siding for attachment and machine durability. The company adds that the new-look machine also sports a floating door, and offers “unmatched performance with greater durability.”

Backed by a two-year warranty from the Minnesotan firm, the attachment promises the ability to slice through brush and trees up to 10 inches in diameter. The more rugged design, combined with thicker bracing and a reinforced door stop, will be able to withstand greater pressure while pushing large trees.

“Additionally, more steel tubing has been used to increase body strength and stiffen the frame to prevent twisting under extreme pressure,” the company adds. “The Kwik Cut’s heavy-duty, 72-inch-diameter disc is equipped with four dual-edge beveled blades, which are designed to retract on severe impact to protect them and other components from damage.”

Adding premium features

The company further touted the updated machine’s floating door design, which opens when the attachment pushes against a tree. This function allows the machine to expose its blades for more effective cutting and, when fully opened, the door becomes rigid and is able to push trees.

The company says it equipped the updated attachment with a radial motor. The extra horsepower allows for high torque, low recovery times, and exceptional cutting, the firm says.

“Designed for power units with a 28- to 45-GPM hydraulic flow range up to 5,000 PSI, the Kwik Cut is powered by a 150cc radial piston motor,” Loftness officials say. “It provides instant torque at startup for fast recovery times and superior cutting performance. A rubber-mounted pressure gauge allows operators to easily monitor the workload from the skid-steer cab.”

Other features on the new machine include anti-wrap protection, as well as a steel body and disc described as “premium strength.” Additionally, the machine boasts a universal skid steer mount, the company says.
