New Holland Construction Expands Compact Wheel Loader Line with Three New Models
New Holland Construction‘s D-Series compact wheel loader lineup is growing with the introduction of three new models — the W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach. Available in Q3 2026, these new units build upon the success of the W100D compact wheel loader — bringing its new redesigned cab and enhanced operator experience to additional machine sizes.
The company said the new models are a great fit for landscaping, construction, material handling and agriculture applications. They offer a mid-sized frame, while the W100D — which was launched in 2025 — remains the largest machine in the lineup.
“Segments like landscaping and construction crews are expected to accomplish more than ever in a single day, while often times moving between multiple jobsites and changing up applications multiple times,” says Dan Kakareka, product manager for New Holland Construction North America. “The new W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach Compact Wheel Loaders give crews the ability to perform more tasks with a single machine, helping businesses make the most out of their time, labor and equipment investment.”
Lending a Hand in Landscaping
When speaking about the trio of new compact wheel loaders, New Holland said they fit the bill for what landscape businesses are looking for in equipment. They can perform multiple tasks without sacrificing efficiency, allowing crews move more seamlessly between nursery work, hardscape installation, material handling and site cleanup.

Whether loading mulch, transporting decorative stone, unloading trees and shrubs and moving pallets or bulk materials around a jobsite, operators can easily adapt to changing tasks. The machine features a hydraulic skid steer-style coupler that allows operators to swiftly switch attachments from inside the cab, minimizing downtime and improving productivity.
With compatibility across a wide range of attachments, including buckets, pallet forks, tree spades and bale spears, contractors and landscapers can use a single machine for numerous applications throughout the workday. A crew loading nursery stock in the morning can quickly transition to unloading hardscape materials in the afternoon and finish the day moving mulch or soil without changing machines.
New Holland explained the three new models provide excellent maneuverability in confined spaces while minimizing disturbance to finished landscapes. This makes the machines valuable for residential and commercial landscaping projects.
While the new D-Series CWLs excel in landscaping, construction crews can also utilize the machines for truck loading, pallet handling and material movement across jobsites. One great use is for snow removal in the winter. This enables fleets to stay productive and generating revenue year-round. Operators in agriculture can use them to move feed, clean barns, handle hay and transport materials around the farm.
A Brand-New Cab
The new machines boast a completely redesigned cab. New Holland highlighted these in-cab features:
- A heated air-ride seat with integrated joystick controls mounted directly to it. This allows the controls to move with the operator as the seat absorbs ground bumps and vibrations.
- A lower front console, larger front windshield and improved sightlines to the attachment and work area.
- A new monitor mounted on the right-side A-pillar places live machine metrics and information directly within the operator’s line of sight.
- A right-side sliding window and door that allow operators to easily interact with crew members without leaving the cab.
Stay on Task
New Holland said the loaders were developed to be easy to operate and to help crews stay productive throughout the workday. The company shared these productivity features:
- A multifunction joystick places loader controls and machine functions within easy reach. This allows operators to manage key features without removing their hands from the controls. Standard features such as ride control, cruise control, creep mode, return-to-dig, return-to-dump and return-to-travel help streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Operators also can customize boom and bucket response speeds to match their experience levels and application requirements. New operators can slow machine response for greater precision and confidence, while seasoned operators can increase boom and bucket speeds to achieve faster cycle times on jobsites.
- Advanced hydraulics deliver smooth, precise operation through flow sharing and load-sensing capabilities that adjust hydraulic flow for increased efficiency and fuel savings.
Another notable feature is a top speed of 25 mph. This allows crews to quickly move between tasks — spending less time transporting equipment and more time completing projects.

The W70D, W80D and W80D Long Reach models feature improved operator sightlines, a standard rearview camera and backup alarm to improve awareness around the machine. Operators can opt for a LED lighting package and available four-corner strobe kit to enhance visibility during low-light conditions.
The company added that each compact wheel loader includes seven years of telematics connectivity through myNewHollandConstruction. With the platform, fleet owners can access machine location, operating hours, maintenance schedules and machine health information.
