Kubota Retains 20-Year Streak as U.S.’s #1 Tractor Brand

Construction equipment firm Kubota Tractor Corp. has announced its status as the #1-Selling Tractor Brand in the USA for 20 Years Running, according to U.S. unit sales.
EDA/UCC equipment transaction data from Jan. 1, 2005 to Dec. 31, 2025 states that Kubota had the highest total sales volume in tractor categories including Utility Tractor, Utility Loader, Utility TLB, and 4WD Ag Tractor. Company officials say the data “reflects the consistency behind customers’ confidence in the Kubota brand.”
“For 20 years, customers across the country have chosen Kubota because they know they can depend on our equipment and the people who stand behind it,” says Alex Woods, president of Kubota Tractor Corp. “This milestone belongs just as much to our customers and our nationwide dealer network as it does to Kubota. We are grateful for their trust and remain committed to earning it every day.”
Woods and the company say that Kubota ranked at the top of the list in total units sold every year from 2005 to 2025. Additionally, the company maintained that pole position among tractor brands in total units sold over the entire period.
Investing in North America
In addition to being the highest selling tractor brand in the U.S., Kubota officials say their company has become a leader in the wider compact equipment market. The firm has been the world’s top-selling compact excavator company for more than 20 years, as well as the best-selling compact track loader in the U.S.
“Our dealers’ commitment to excellence in their communities, combined with Kubota quality products, is what established the brand in the U.S.,” says Paul Manger, vice president of product marketing at Kubota. “It’s a partnership, not just a purchase, built one relationship at a time. That dedication is what earned this ranking and underscores our dealers’ commitment to being the local dealer of choice in their communities.”
The new milestone “is supported by Kubota’s continued investment in America through expanded assembly and manufacturing plants,” the company says. The Osaka, Japan-based company has supported research and development and job creation across the U.S., and adds that its nationwide network of dealers now spans more than 1,100 locations.
