More on Caterpillar

It should come as no surprise that the equipment titan did some big things in 2024. Caterpillar hosted a bunch of events, launched a bunch of equipment and continued supporting us with insights from its experts. Let’s take a quick look at some highlights…

Earlier this year, Caterpillar invited us out to its first Women in Construction Celebration in Clayton, North Carolina. Cat dealers invited 18 female equipment operators from around the United States and two from Brazil to Cat’s Edward J. Rapp Customer and Training Center to compete in equipment skills tests, learn about the latest industry trends and network with peers.

The company’s Cat Command trailer then came to visit us this summer so we could test out the technology. Caterpillar marketing professional Alan Pumpkin drove the Cat Command trailer to our offices allowing us to operate three different machines — an excavator, dozer and wheel loader — from Richfield, Ohio, controlling units remotely in North Carolina and Arizona. So cool.

In August, the company hosted a press event at Caterpillar’s Edwards Demonstration and Learning Center. There, Caterpillar announced four new skid steers and four new track loaders under its “next generation” badge, including Cat’s biggest track loaders ever (the Cat 285 and Cat 285 XE), which boast a 12.5-ft lift height, the highest in the industry.

There’s so much more we could share. Click here for more Caterpillar news from the year.
