Learn More About Equip Exposition’s New Education and Certification Tracks in 2025

Equip Expo educational session

If you’re heading to Equip Exposition this October, be sure to make time for its education tracks. The award-winning show — scheduled for October 21-24 in Louisville — recently announced that many of its education tracks are focused on dealing with market and labor uncertainties and growing resiliency in today’s rapid-paced, ever-changing environment.

In addition to these tracks, attendees (which include landscapers, dealers, contractors, hardscape experts and outdoor power equipment manufacturers) can learn from peer-to-peer networking events. These include: a Tuesday Welcome Reception at Churchill Downs sponsored by Caterpillar; a Wednesday night concert at Fourth Street Live!; a Thursday concert at the International Kentucky Convention Center sponsored by Gravely; and more.

From the press release:

“Our new education tracks were designed based on attendee feedback,” says Kris Kiser, president and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), an international trade association which owns and manages the blockbuster show. “With recent market and labor uncertainties, Equip is the best value to get help on those business challenges—by talking to each other as well as getting advice from industry experts. This is the year to bring your whole team.”

According to Equip Expo‘s press release, defined education tracks will help attendees focus on sessions that help address many issues, including:

  • Hiring and Retention. Learn how to attract and keep critical employees.
  • New Business Opportunities. How to offer lighting, irrigation tree care, and chemical application and to grow your business.
  • CEO/Leadership (for dealers). Understand how customer attitudes impact project activities and product purchases with insights from the Farnsworth Group.
  • CEO/Leadership (for landscapers and contractors). Design a vision and better manage as leader-in-chief.
  • Women’s Leadership. Address the unique needs of women in the industry and then attend the Women’s Leadership Reception, sponsored by Belgard, Hunter Industries and SiteOne.
  • Growth Mode. Developing the business for a younger company and when dealing with new professionals. Get amped by The Morning Show at Expo, sponsored by Rehlko, and ENERGIZE!

Equip Exposition is also bringing back more sessions of “From Worker to Leader: Developing Your Foreman.” Brought back due to popular demand, these sessions are designed to help landscapers develop crew chiefs as valuable leaders who direct, motivate and critique employees. Armando Actis will e teaching these valuable workshops in both English and Spanish.

Kress is sponsoring the show’s 2025 keynote speaker: Savannah Bananas founder Jesse Cole. Attendees can hear Cole talk about what it takes to develop a great idea into a brand that people embrace and love, as well as how to keep creativity flowing.
