Trimble Launches Small Business Focused Financial Management System

Construction equipment firm Trimble has announced the launch of its Trimble Financials software in the U.S. market, officials say.
The new construction-specific financial management and job costing solution is “designed to simplify accounting operations for small-business contractors.” The small business-focused software aims to give local contractors a leg up, providing real-time visibility for project and company performance, and enabling those contractors to consistently monitor profitability and make fully informed decisions.
“Contractors running small businesses don’t want to — and shouldn’t have to — become accounting pros,” says Trimble VP Jon Fingland. “Trimble Financials is ideal for growing beyond financial management and analysis limitations of paper or spreadsheets and for businesses that may not need all of the features of more advanced, enterprise financial management platforms.
“The construction-specific capabilities of Trimble Financials also provide usability and job costing advantages over generic, off-the-shelf accounting options.”
The software has been purposefully constructed for business owners that do not already have in-house accounting expertise and with annual revenue around $10 million or less, Trimble says. Beyond that, Trimble Financials boasts a suite of new features for contractors of all sizes.
New-age capabilities
The company promises built-in AI capabilities for the new software, allowing contractors to access support through language prompts. The software also allows for integration with other Trimble solutions for profit estimation and jobsite performance tracking, as well as employee timekeeping.
“As work progresses, financial data from Trimble Financials can populate dashboards that provide a clear view of estimated versus actual costs and the overall status of business profitability in simplified, contractor-friendly formats,” the company says. “The data also flows automatically into financial statements formatted to help businesses address accounting requirements.”
The connectivity promised with Trimble Financials “can unify office, field, and financial operations in a cohesive industry ecosystem,” the company says. Officials add that this software will reduce manual processes and improve real-time data sharing and visibility across construction site workflows.
Trimble Financials is now available for purchase in the U.S. with a standalone software subscription.
