RDO Equipment Co. Team Members Achieve Safety and Community Development Goals
It’s important to have goals. And with the new year coming up, it’s time to set some. If you need some motivation, take a look at what equipment dealer RDO Equipment has been up to. Spoiler: It’s a lot. The company recently announced its team members achieved safety and community development goals this fall. Let’s find out what all that means.
RDO Equipment Announces ISO 45001:2018 Certifications for 44 Locations
RDO Equipment Co.‘s president Chris Cooper recently announced to company team members that 44 locations achieved ISO 45001:2018 certification, the world’s leading occupational health and safety systems. Forty-three equipment stores and service shops, as well as RDO’s Field Support Office (FDO), were selected for certification by DEKRA, a third-party certifying body.
From the press release:
This is us truly walking the walk when it comes to our commitment to working safely,” Cooper said. “RDO’s solid foundation with existing protocols and procedures set teams up for success to further strengthen their safety culture, keeping every team member safe by choice, not by chance.
This latest announcement marks another success in RDO’s commitment to safety. The company’s store in Dayton, Minnesota, and the FSO in Fargo, North Dakota, both achieved ISO 45001:2018 certifications during the summer of 2023. Its Safety and Risk Management team has been instrumental in the process. This has included working closely with the Internal Audit team to conduct on-site documentation processes and updating daily safety procedures.
The recent certification of 44 RDO locations was also achieved through their work with the Safety and Risk Management team. In addition, eight RDO locations passed on-site audits conducted by DEKRA. Those RDO locations included Pflugerville and Waco, Texas; Marshall and Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; Aberdeen, South Dakota; and Fargo and Williston, North Dakota.
R.D. Offutt Company and Offutt Family Foundation Announces 54 Community Builder Grants
R.D. Offutt Company, the parent company of RDO Equipment Co., and the Offutt Family Foundation is giving back. The two organizations recently announced the awarding of 54 grants as part of the Community Builder program. The program was designed for R.D. Offutt team members to nominate a local nonprofit to receive a grant — demonstrating their commitment to their communities.
From the press release:
Each year, the causes our team members champion and the stories they share create ripple effects throughout their communities and RDO as a whole,” said Jessi Zenker, Offutt Family Foundation program manager. “It’s an incredible opportunity to understand how so many RDO team members are giving back to their communities, and hearing and supporting these stories in this way is a privilege.
Currently in its 9th year, the Community Builder program allows R.D. Offutt Company team members to submit local charities for grant consideration. These grants are awarded based on the charity’s mission, as well as aligning with the focus areas of the Offutt Family Foundation. These include healthcare, education or community development.
Over the years, the Community Builder program has donated more than $1.7 million to local nonprofits and community organizations nationwide.
