AlignOps’ FleetWatcher brand has introduced its new Inspection Reports functionality, the company says, promising quick and accurate inspections for drivers and other equipment operators.

The new feature allows for pre- and post-trip inspections to be made not only accurately, but quickly, while at a jobsite and from mobile devices. FleetWatcher will utilize a digital checklist tailored to any operator’s given truck or piece of equipment, allowing team members to save time and reduce the chances of missed checklist steps.

“Whether operating dump trucks, pavers, or excavators, team members are inspecting the right components every time, so inspections are consistent, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices, and the company’s operational objectives,” the company says. “Defects are flagged and routed to the maintenance team, turning inspection reports into proactive safety tools. Digitizing the inspection process creates a full audit trail while eliminating inefficiencies, and protecting people, equipment and the bottom line.”

The company says the FleetWatcher technology can be modified to suit on and off-road fleets of equipment. No matter what type or size, the checklist is available for tailor-made options.

No paper, no delay

FleetWatcher is adept at quickly identifying any potential defects with a piece of machinery, and can automatically flag them, AlignOps says.

“When a defect is identified, it is immediately flagged and routed to the maintenance team, with no paperwork and no delays,” AlignOps says. “This rapid communication loop reduces downtime, prevents costly failures, and ensures equipment stays safe and job ready. FleetWatcher turns inspection reports into proactive safety tools by connecting inspections directly with maintenance workflows.”

All inspections a given crew submits are securely stored in the app and then loaded onto FleetWatcher’s maintenance software menu. Teams will be able to access inspection histories, as well as review current equipment issues from a single, centralized record.

“Each inspection report includes a secure digital signature and optional photo upload, providing a time-stamped record of equipment condition, creating a full audit trail,” the company says. “These detailed reports help to reduce liability, provide accountability, and give safety and compliance teams the documentation they need.”
