Let’s Examine Bobcat’s Just Announced MT120 Stand-On Mini Track Loader

Bobcat Co. just dropped news that it’s growing its mini track loader lineup. The MT120 will soon be Bobcat’s most powerful model to date. That power comes from a 1.2 liter diesel engine rated at 24.5 hp that does not require a diesel particulate filter. The MT120 has 11.8 gpm of flow for excellent breakout forces and a rated operating capacity of 1,200 lbs. Lift height is 88 in. and reach is 22 in. Pilot controls provide smooth operation while fast travel speeds further enhance productivity. Travel speed is 4.7 mph forward and reverse.
Overall width is just under 36 in., providing maximum stability while still allowing the MT120 to pass through gates and other confined spaces. Standard 9.1-in. tracks provide 4.3 psi of ground pressure; optional 11-in. tracks reduce ground pressure to just 3.9 psi for minimal surface disruption in sensitive or finished areas and better flotation in soft underfoot conditions. The integrated platform gives good visibility to the bucket or attachment as well as the sides of the machine.
The MT120 will be available at Bobcat dealerships in the United States and Canada the second quarter of 2025.
Low Cost of Ownership
The MT120 is designed to give customers maximum productivity while also providing low owning and operating costs. The non-DPF engine does away with time-consuming regen cycles and filter replacement. The direct-drive system does away with belts and the need to tension and replace them. Bushings, rollers and idlers are all maintenance-free.
Attachment Versatility
Bobcat has more than 20 categories of attachments for its mini track loaders; not 20 attachments…20 categories of attachments. There are three types of trenchers, three types of snowblowers, two types of augers, breakers, sweepers, angle brooms and 21 types of buckets. With so wide a variety of attachments, customers can use their MT120 for digging, clearing brush, hauling loose and palleted materials, ground preparation, sweeping, pushing and blowing snow, utility installation, breaking up and removing concrete, trenching and much more.
MT120 the Latest in a Full Range of Bobcat Compact Loaders
The MT120 is the next step up in capacity from the MT100. The MT100 has 5.25 psi ground pressure with standard tracks and height to bucket hinge pin of 80.9 in. Its three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine is rated at 24.8 hp. Operating capacity is 1,000 lbs; the carry position ROC can be increased to 1,300 lbs. with the standard counterweight in the undercarriage position. Travel speeds are 4.1 mph forward and 2.9 mph reverse.
