The CK Power Family of Companies has announced the acquisition of Colorado-based equipment and service provider, Rocky Mountain Construction Equipment (RMCE).

The new acquisition will be integrated into the CK Power Family’s existing Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT), officials say. The integration will immediately double the size of RMTP’s aftermarket services in the U.S., and greatly expand its ability to support customers across the western U.S.

Clayton Costello, co-CEO of CK Power Family of Companies, says that the deal reflects the current state of the industry, and where the construction equipment space is headed.

“Customers are looking for service partners that can solve more problems, support more equipment, and respond faster when uptime matters,” he says. “By combining RMPT and RMCE, we’re creating a deeper bench of technical expertise and a broader service network that allows us to support customers in ways neither organization could accomplish independently.”

The acquisition now exists at the intersection of “two highly complementary businesses,” the company says. RMPT has built up decades worth of reputation around industrial engines and powertrain repair, and now, RMCE will add its specialized expertise in aerial equipment, concrete pumps, and other specialty machines.

Expanding CK Power’s manufacturing relationships

The integration will expand RMPT’s manufacturer and equipment support relationships, the CK Power Family of Companies says. Representatives say RMPT will continue serving customers as an ‘Authorized Putzmeister Dealer’ in Colorado, offering both sales and service. The company will also be a ‘Multiquip Dealer,’ offering group and concrete solutions.

“These long-standing manufacturer relationships and service authorizations have helped establish RMCE as a trusted resource for specialized construction equipment and now further strengthens RMPT’s service platform,” the company says. “As part of the integration, all RMCE employees will join RMPT.”

The acquisition greatly advances the CK Power Family of Companies’ wider mission, officials say, continuously expanding its product and service offerings. The company aims to combine complementary expertise, as well as manufacturing relationships, and service capabilities.

“When evaluating the future of RMCE, protecting our employees and continuing to serve our customers at the highest level were the most important considerations,” says Kyle McElroy, president and owner of RMCE. “Joining CK Power Family of Companies and Rocky Mountain Powertrain allows us to build on what we’ve created while giving our team greater opportunities, additional resources, and long-term stability.

“Most importantly, this investment in our people will ultimately translate into even better service and stronger support for the customers who rely on us every day.”
