worksaver-(cut-1)Illinois Farmer Finds Labor Savings with WorkSaver Skid Steer Grapple

Farmer Tom Justison recently bought a Sweep Action Rock Grapple (SARG) from Worksaver Inc. to use on his family farm in Montgomery County, Ill.  The Justison farm is several thousand acres with a production ratio of 60 percent corn, 30 percent beans and 10 percent wheat. They also raise a few head of cattle and several goats, primarily to support 4-H and FFA (Future Farmers of America) activities.

Justison utilizes equipment on his farm from John Deere, Case IH, Kubota and New Holland. The SARG is the second Worksaver grapple he has purchased. It joins a model SSGR-262 grapple for his skid steers. Until this past year, Justison taught as part of an agricultural program at a small school in Illinois, and he saw Worksaver’s new SARG while on a field trip with his agricultural students at the company’s manufacturing facility in Litchfield, Ill. After seeing the SARG demonstration, Justison found further information about it on the company’s website which helped with his decision to purchase a 72-in. SARG for his farm.

“I have a grapple from Worksaver, but the SARG has a feature with the tines where you can sort out the soil or dirt from the rock and roots,” said Justison. “And it has a flexible clamp system that allows you to pick up items of different size.”

Vacuworx-Cool-Tool-of-the-Month-(Cut-1)Vacuum Lifting System Offers Pickup Solutions for Skid Steers

The new Vacuworx SS 2 Vacuum Lifting System introduces yet another application for your skid steer — vacuum lifting. Now with the SS 2, your skid steer becomes part of a system that can lift steel plates, saw-cut concrete, granite and marble slabs, landscape pavers and other materials faster, safer and smarter than ever before. Featuring all-aluminum construction, the patent-pending design has a hydraulically driven vacuum pump that operates using the auxiliary hydraulics from the host machine (minimum 10 gpm required with maximum 3,000 psi). The vacuum pump maintains a constant vacuum in the pressure reservoir.  When activated, the system pulls a vacuum between the integrated 24-in. x 24-in. vacuum pad and the object to be lifted, providing a powerful positive seal. Vacuworx’s Tough Seal pad seal is used on the vacuum pad to cover the material to be lifted and create the necessary suction.
