Case Releases Equipment Designed to Address Landscaping Challenges
‘Tis the season for landscaping! To assist crews in their work, Case Construction Equipment has announced a new bundle of machines and machine upgrades aimed at helping landscaping crews get more jobs done — and more efficiently.
Case said it’s equipping landscapers with right-sized machines that are easy to operate and maneuver. This will help them stay productive across a wide variety of worksites, as well as address the pressures of labor shortages, rising costs and the need for versatile equipment.
There are three new machines a part of this bundle: an efficient compact wheel loader, an emissions-free electric compact wheel loader and a new small articulated loader with a telescopic boom that excels in tight spaces. In addition to those, Case is also updating its B Series compact track loaders and skid steer loaders. The company said these updates will provide more intuitive operation, better visibility and comfort. This enables landscapers to adopt powerful machinery with minimal learning curves.
“Landscapers need equipment that matches the demands of their work, whether that means working in narrow spaces, minimizing maintenance demands or overcoming workforce challenges,” says Terry Dolan, head of CNH Construction Brands, North America. “Case sets out to solve those challenges by listening to landscapers and innovating to meet their needs with swift, smooth, smart machines that simplify work and empower teams to maximize productivity in any environment.”
The Case SL27 Small Articulated Loader
Case’s new telescopic-boom version of its SL27 small articulated loader gives landscapers an efficient machine that can reach over obstacles and boost productivity on the job. The 50-hp machine features a hinge-pin height of 142 in. and delivers exceptional reach for tasks like stacking materials, placing stone or moving trees or shrubs over fences.
More from the press release:
The SL27 TR uses a skid-steer-style universal hydraulic coupler for excellent attachment versatility. This allows for quick attachment changes for tools like trenchers, pallet forks, rakes or augers for tree planting. Easy operation enhances productivity, while its compact, highly maneuverable design ensures it can access tight backyards, narrow gates and other confined spaces without disturbing finished landscapes.
With the power to handle heavy loads, this new machine makes hauling and material handling more efficient and equips landscaping teams to take on bigger jobs. From transporting mulch, soil and sod to lifting and placing heavy loads with precision, this loader is built to keep jobs moving smoothly and efficiently.
421G Compact Wheel Loader
The new 112-hp Case 421G compact wheel loader was made for landscaping teams who need a tough machine designed to tackle bigger jobs. Case said it combines power, maneuverability and versatility to manage demanding tasks with ease. With breakout forces nearing 16,900 lbs, Case noted that the 421G delivers heavy-duty performance in a manageable size. This makes it a great fit for loading in the supply yard, grading large landscapes or moving bulk materials.
According to Case’s press release, the hydraulic system of the 421G features flow sharing and load sensing capabilities. This allows operators to control hydraulic flow for optimal efficiency. The company said a high-flow hydraulic option also supports specialized landscaping attachments. Think rakes for surface prep, sweepers for cleanup or forks for loading and transporting pallets.
The cab of the 421G features more glass and seat-mounted controls for better all-around visibility. It also includes modern essentials like a customizable color display with encoder, an in-display rear-view camera and a USB port and phone holder.
CL36EV Electric Compact Wheel Loader
The CL36EV electric compact wheel loader was first previewed in 2024 and is officially launching this year. This new machine will give landscaping crews an emissions-free, low noise solution for taking on demanding projects. Case said the CL36EV is ideal for residential settings or commercial landscaping projects with green credentials. It delivers the same power and performance as comparably sized diesel-powered loaders. Landscapers can moves bulk materials like soil, mulch or rock with ease. The CL36EV boasts a hinge-pin height of over 10 ft and is compatible with attachments like forks, rakes and sweepers.
Landscapers will appreciate the machine’s zero emissions, minimal noise and simplified maintenance. The CL36EV is a great solution for landscapers who want to lower their total cost of ownership or access new opportunities in unique operating environments, such as noise-sensitive areas.
Updates to the B Series Loaders
According to Case, its B Series compact track loaders and skid steers have been go-to machines for landscapers. These machines are ideal for handling highly varied tasks in the supply yard and in the field. Add in their exceptional attachment versatility and these machines can do everything — from loading and transporting materials to planting trees and mulching. The B Series is now getting upgraded to add even more maneuverability on the job.
From the press release:
A new rear object detection feature, which uses radar to detect potential hazards behind the machine, keeps operators aware of obstacles to make navigating close quarters easier. And a bi-directional self-leveling system ensures that forks or buckets stay level as the boom moves up or down, enhancing accuracy during loading and grading to keep projects running smoothly.
“Our approach to practical innovation is driven by the challenges that landscapers face every day,” says Dolan. “With the latest round of advancements, we’re delivering smarter, more versatile equipment to help landscaping professionals conquer more jobs, in any environment, more efficiently and effectively than ever.”
