Polaris Defense and Mobile Hydraulics Equipment Co. are teaming up to create a Ranger with a Hippo Multi-Power System, which allows you to use saw, crimp, dig, hammer, cut, nail, weld and grind tools using one mobile power source. The goal is to combine the extreme mobility of the Polaris Ranger and the versatile power source of the Hippo system. The combination creates a highly mobile platform that can power hydraulic, welding, pneumatic and electric tools off of the Ranger Diesel’s engine. The vehicle is currently in development testing and will be available to the Military first upon completion. There is also obvious value this vehicle could provide to other industries: rail, construction, commercial ranches, mining, oil and emergency/disaster response.
