Cool British-Made Aconda Carriers Win Big Award, Coming Soon to North America
Game-Changing Carriers Built for Confined, Complex Jobsites
Aconda Industrial Carriers has earned the 2025 King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation — a major recognition of its role in redefining how heavy materials are transported on jobsites with limited space and rough terrain. Big congrats. Based in Witham, Essex, England, Aconda produces a line of battery-powered, remote-controlled tracked carriers. These compact machines can haul up to 4,000 kg (8,818 lbs) across gravel, stairs, mud and inclines up to 45 degrees — while still squeezing through spaces as narrow as 750 mm (29 in.). And they’re coming soon to North America.
Built to Move What Others Can’t
Every carrier in the Aconda lineup is engineered for sites where wheeled equipment fails. Whether you’re on a steep slope or navigating tight hallways, these tracked platforms deliver load-hauling power with quiet electric motors and proportional wireless remotes. Here’s a breakdown of the current Pro series:

A Lot of Trades Need a Compact Carrier
Aconda’s machines are already proving their worth across diverse sectors in the UK — from construction and landscaping to railway maintenance and historical site preservation. They’re especially valuable where manual handling poses safety risks or where traditional machinery can’t fit (a theme here at Compact Equipment). These tracked carriers also reduce the need for team-based heavy lifting. They can be equipped with attachments like winches, rotating platforms, stillages or even crane arms. Users can haul glass, stone, beams or other oversized materials without risking back injuries or floor damage.
The low-slung design of each model increases stability and simplifies loading. The proportional wireless remote gives operators complete control over speed, direction and accessory functions — all from a safe distance. These machines operate quietly with zero emissions, making them suitable for indoor use, clean zones, sensitive environments and night operations.
Award Recognition and What’s Next
The King’s Award for Enterprise is one of the UK’s highest business honors. This year, 197 organizations have been recognized; 46 in the Innovation category. Aconda was the only winner in its home region of Essex. The company’s founder, Tom Cannon, will attend a royal reception at Windsor Castle this June. A formal award ceremony will follow later in the year. From the press release:
“We’re incredibly proud to be one of just 197 organisations to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise,” said Tom Cannon, Founder and Managing Director of ACONDA. “This honour reflects the hard work of our team, our dedication to British manufacturing and the game-changing impact our products are having in the field.”
Looking forward, Aconda is scaling up production and forming distribution partnerships to bring its carriers to Canada and the United States, according to that same press release. R&D is also underway to integrate AI-assisted navigation for future models.
Why North America Should Pay Attention
For contractors, facility managers and industrial movers working in tight, tricky environments, Aconda’s tracked carriers may offer a safer, more efficient alternative to machines with forklifts, dollies, UTVs and team lifting. These carriers check the boxes for modern jobsite needs:
- Zero emissions
- High capacity in a compact footprint
- Easy transport
- Low maintenance (no hydraulics)
Their arrival in North America will offer new solutions for injury reduction, load transport and productivity in places where traditional gear simply can’t perform. Stay tuned for updates as Aconda’s award-winning carriers prepare to enter the U.S. and Canadian markets. For more info, visit aconda.com.
