With the addition of ARGO’s new Public Works Solutions, municipalities can do more with one go-anywhere utility vehicle.
The Public Works Package allows municipal crews to spray for mosquitoes in spring, cut trails in summer, maintain woodlots in fall and plow snow in winter. The Fire & Rescue package unveiled this year, includes interchangeable modules so the ARGO can also serve as a fire-fighting pumper, an off-road ambulance or crew transport for a team of up to 6 first-responders, making it a year-round vehicle. Together these packages are ideal for municipalities with big needs and limited budgets.
“With an ARGO fleet equipped with our Public Works Package, governments will see tremendous cost savings,” says Bernhard Wagenknecht, ARGO’s vice president of sales and marketing. “ARGO’s proven reliability results in low maintenance costs and the versatility of the Public Works Package means increased utilization.”
The versatility of ARGO’s 8×8 expands with the addition of the Universal Mounting System (UMS) allowing the safe addition of hydraulic power packs, tool attachments, generators and compressors. The UMS packages were developed n conjunction with industry-leading brands such as VMAC, Lincoln Electric and Chicago Pneumatic. ARGO Cargo options include a flat bed, a utility box, an electric dump-box as well as 8-wheel and 4-wheel amphibious trailers with a capacity of up to 1,4000 lb. (635 kg).
ARGO amphibious vehicles have the lowest center of gravity in the UTV industry, allowing them to easily traverse uneven ground, snow, ice, rocks or sand. With 8-wheels or using the optional tracks, the weight of the machine, crew and equipment won’t damage sensitive environmental areas or sink into deep snow.
