Equip Exposition Sells Out Exhibit Space for Fifth Straight Year

For the fifth year in a row, international landscaping, outdoor living, and equipment show Equip Exposition has sold out its available exhibition space, officials say.
This year’s show will take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville from Oct. 20-23, with enough show floor space to cover 20 regulation size football fields. Kris Kiser, president and CEO of show-managing firm OPEI, says the supreme demand for expo space means that potential exhibitors often have to plan ahead, reserving space months in advance.
This year, he says, the show sold its final space in May — nearly six months before the show.
“We have 1.2 million square feet of exhibit space, including the Outdoor Demo Yard. Every inch of the Kentucky Exposition Center that can be used for exhibit space is now sold,” he says. “That translates to more than a square mile of exhibits, or the equivalent of 20 football fields. There are thousands of products and services that can help landscapers, contractors and dealers expand and better their business.”
This year’s final sale is one of the earliest in years, with past expositions seeing their final space sales in early October, August, and June.
Maximizing the space
Kiser says that high demand has forced the Equipment Expo show staff and officials from the expo center itself to “re-imagine” the space. The crews have gotten creative about ways to add show value for attendees in recent years, opening up the center’s Freedom Hall to exhibit sales for the first time and expanding the UTV Test Track area in 2025.
“Equip is epic, and people are excited to be at the show and part of this dynamic industry,” Kiser says. “This is the place where innovators roll out new products and talk about where this industry is headed. It’s where landscape contractors try out new equipment and meet the people who design and make it.”
Last year’ Equip Exposition show broke attendance records, the show says, attracting a record-setting 30,000 registrants to Louisville last year. The show will begin a rotation between Louisville and Orlando, Florida in 2029.
Tickets are still on sale with “plenty” left for attendees, according to Equipment Expo officials. The conference’s early bird registration rate is available on its website through Sept. 10.
