Since 2001, JCB has set a unique standard for compact track loaders with innovative engineering and operator-focused design. The product line was redesigned in 2017 to include small- and large-platform models, offering performance and versatility. Proudly designed and manufactured in Savannah, Georgia, JCB CTLs combine world-class quality with American craftsmanship. JCB offers six advanced models — the 1CXT, 2TS-7T, 3TS-8T, 215T, 270T and 300T — each tailored to meet the diverse needs of operators across industries.
The JCB CTL range stands out for its power, precision and efficiency, setting a new standard in the industry. Every model in the lineup features JCB’s exclusive single-arm boom, built with up to 20 percent more steel than twin-arm systems for unmatched strength and durability. This design also enhances visibility by 60 percent compared to conventional designs, improving safety and operator awareness on busy worksites. A hallmark of the JCB CTL range is the revolutionary side-door entry, allowing operators to safely and easily access the cab without climbing over attachments or under unsupported booms.
Except for the 1CXT, which is only 49 hp, the rest of the JCB CTL line is powered by fuel-efficient 74-hp Tier 4 Final engines that meet stringent emissions standards without requiring exhaust aftertreatment. This focus on efficiency, paired with industry-leading serviceability, reduces downtime and operating costs, ensuring these machines are a reliable, long-term investment for any jobsite.
Comfy Cabs, myChoice Software and the 1CXT
JCB CTLs offer a unique combination of features that prioritize operator safety, comfort and efficiency. The single-arm boom enhances durability and visibility, while the side-door entry ensures safe and hassle-free access to the cab. The larger cab size, suspension seats, servo controls and sealed, pressurized interiors create an environment that minimizes operator fatigue while maximizing performance and protection. JCB’s myChoice software lets operators customize control settings for specific tasks, from precision grading to high-speed loading. These CTLs are also powered by fuel-efficient, environmentally friendly engines that keep operating costs low. Built for easy maintenance, JCB CTLs feature industry-leading serviceability, helping operators minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
From the compact 1CXT, the world’s smallest CTL with backhoe capability, to the heavy-duty 300T, JCB’s lineup is designed to tackle the toughest jobs with ease. Models like JCB’s groundbreaking Teleskids feature a telescopic boom, allowing operators to lift higher, reach further and dig deeper than any other CTL on the market. This innovation delivers long-term versatility, helping businesses adapt to changing needs and achieve better returns on investment.
Advice for Compact Track Loader Buyers
“When you’re looking at a CTL, it’s important to think about more than just what you need right now,” says Lee Tice, JCB product manager. “Make sure the machine is the right size for your current jobs and where you want your operation to go in the future. A versatile machine, like one of the JCB Teleskids with its telescopic boom, can handle a wide range of tasks so you’re ready for anything. Picking the right equipment now means you’ll get more out of it over time and see a better return on your investment.”
