Machine Heads Video: Discussing How Bobcat Is Accelerating Compact Equipment Innovation with VP Joel Honeyman

Last month, Bobcat was recognized as one of Fast Company’s 2024 Most Innovative Companies. The Most Innovative Companies honor places Bobcat in the spotlight among other organizations that are transforming industries and shaping society. Acknowledging that accolade, Joel Honeyman, Doosan Bobcat vice president of global innovation, noted that modern, forward-thinking approaches to designing off-highway equipment are just a part of Bobcat’s DNA.

With innovation being at the core of our legacy, Bobcat is driving the industry forward reaching new heights,” said Joel Honeyman, Doosan Bobcat vice president of global innovation in this press release. “We believe that embracing technology and innovation is vital to long-term success, and we are thrilled to be recognized on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.

Since 1958, Bobcat has been looking forward to transform how the world works, builds cities and supports communities for a more sustainable future. Bobcat invented the first skid steer, and today’s its still evolving the landscape of construction, ag, landscape and rental equipment. Since 2022, the brand has launched several industry-first machines, including the all-electric T7X compact track loader, the all-electric concept S7X skid steer loader and the fully electric and autonomous concept pair of loaders — the RogueX and the RogueX2. The Compact Equipment crew personally loves Bobcat’s prototype advanced display screen, which we saw engineered into a Bobcat S7X at CES 2024. It’s a 32-in. monitor built into the loader’s front door.

With Bobcat releasing so much innovative tech, we decided to sit down for a conversation with Bobcat VP of Global Innovation Joel Honeyman. In the video above Honeyman discuss Bobcat’s latest appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show and the company’s many prototypes and exciting new products over the last few years. This episode of Machine Heads is a must-watch if you love both Bobcat and tech. See the video above!
