The Hilltip IceStriker 8000 CM Combi Spreader offers an industry-leading capacity of 8 cu ft. The 8000 CM is a fully electric-powered spreader designed for Class 6 medium-duty and larger trucks. It also comes with an integrated liquid tank for pre-wetting material or spraying brine directly on driving surfaces.

The polyethylene construction of the 8.0-cu-ft hopper provides superior corrosion resistance. It has a 370-gal integrated liquid tank for pre-wetting material. It also assesses up-to-the-minute weather forecasts tailored to the driver’s location. The system analyzes the combined data and recommends the appropriate material and application rate for the job according to current and forecasted conditions. Then, it automates equipment settings to ensure the proper material rates are applied. Furthermore, the controller is compatible with Hilltip’s exclusive HTrack tracking software (standard with the 8000 CM), which utilizes the industry’s only two-way GPRS tracking software for real-time remote equipment monitoring and control.

The 12- or 24-volt dual motors power the IceStriker 8000 CM, mounted inside a sealed, weather-resistant enclosure. Other features include an inverted V with a vibrator to help prevent bridging, as well as a pintle chain (stainless steel chain optional). The stainless-steel flip-up chute is designed for spreading salt in environments with high humidity. It also includes built-in tie-down loops, a top screen, a tarp kit, and an accessory wire for installing work and beacon lights.
