CEAttachments Wrangles Annual Attachment Rodeo

Machine cowhands from as far as Colombia and Canada (as well as all over the
United States) rode all night to attend the second CEAttachments Attachment
Rodeo held at the Washington County Fair Park in West Bend, Wis., Aug. 22-24.
CEAttachments, a full-service wholesale distributor of a wide range of
attachments for skid steer loaders, compact excavators and compact utility
tractors, corralled some of the best and most unique implements on the market
for its growing cadre of customers.

“The opportunity to see so many attachments at one place on different
machines… it’s hard to find these opportunities,” said Craig Hammann,
CEAttachments general manager.

CEAttachments broke the three-day seminar into practical jobsite categories,
including road maintenance, lawn preparation, landscape/fencing, grading/site
preparation and landscape/pond building. Tons of activities at the Rodeo
encouraged equipment dealers in attendance to hop on a machine and try out the
attachments in “real” jobsite simulations. Attendees were tasked with building a
landscaped area including a pond installation, split-rail fence installation and
planting shrubs. Other activities included preparing soil and planting landscape
seed and sod, finish grading with a grader/laser setup and cold planing along
with jobsite cleanup.

“You can never have enough hours in the equipment we’re selling,” said Jim
Bell from Midway Rentals & Sales in Marquette, Mich.

CEAttachments also took time to school attendees on different attachment
solutions, including preparing dealer salespeople to offer alternatives to their
customers’ jobsite problems using compact equipment and attachments and offering
operational training to dealer salespeople.

“We want to be more than just another attachment supplier,” said Hammann. “We
want to offer equipment dealers and their customers real solutions to real
problems on the jobsite. This rodeo is one of the many ways we are helping
equipment dealers sell more attachments and help their customers increase their

productivity and profitability.”

There were approximately 55 people in attendance. Nine companies that were in
attendance at the first attachment rodeo either sent the same people or sent new
sales representatives for this year’s event.

Several new attachments were introduced at the rodeo this year, including the
new silt fence installer. Its innovative design offers simple single fold
material load and 40-degree pivot for a tight turning radius. CEAttachments also
introduced a laser system that easily integrates with the already popular grader
attachment for simple, perfect grading every time. Other unique attachments
highlighted at the rodeo included the EDGE grabbing tool, the EDGE post driver
and the EDGE landscape seeder.
