Genie Launches Genie Recon Reconditioning Business

Genie is expanding its North American equipment strategy with the launch of Genie Recon, a new reconditioning business designed to restore select Genie boom lifts to like-new condition using factory processes and genuine parts. The program gives rental companies and fleet owners a lower-cost way to add high-quality Genie equipment without relying on traditional used machines. From the press release:

“By adding high-quality, like-new equipment to their fleets at a lower acquisition price, customers can boost the return on their investment,” said Amalija Kopac, Genie Product Director, Reconditioned Products. “We’re excited to offer a solution that blends affordability with the dependability of Genie engineering.”

Reconditioning Takes Place in Missouri

Genie Recon operates from a dedicated facility in Springfield, Missouri, where factory-trained technicians follow a structured workflow built to mirror original manufacturing processes. Each unit goes through detailed inspections, functional testing and targeted component upgrades using Genie Genuine Parts. Quality checks match the same benchmarks applied to new machines, helping ensure consistent performance, safety and reliability across every reconditioned unit.

The reconditioning program launches with two of Genie’s most widely used models, the S-65 and S-85 telescopic boom lifts. These machines are common in construction, industrial maintenance and rental applications, making them a practical starting point for the program. Genie plans to expand Genie Recon over time by adding more models and additional reconditioning services as demand grows.

Three-Year Warranty Included

Every Genie Recon machine comes backed by a three-year warranty, giving customers added confidence when purchasing reconditioned equipment. The warranty helps fleets manage risk while supporting long-term ownership or rental use. By combining factory-level reconditioning with extended coverage, Genie positions these machines between new equipment and conventional used options.
