Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas Inc. (HCMA) continues to expand its compact wheel loader line with the addition of the ZW100-6 last fall. This machine joins the ZW30-5B, ZW50-5B, ZW80-5B and ZW120-6 compact wheel loader family. These compact wheel loaders are equipped with industry-leading technology and are engineered with the same attention to detail, safety and efficiency as the larger Hitachi production loaders.

Tier 4 Final diesel engines with DPF-free emissions control systems provide a competitive advantage. There is no complex and expensive DPF to plug, regenerate, maintain or replace. The ZW50-5B and ZW80-5B feature efficient Kubota engines, responsive hydrostatic transmissions, limited-slip differentials (ZW50-5B) and a travel mode switch. A suspension seat ensures comfort while an industry-exclusive oscillating rear axle provides stability on uneven terrain.

These loaders offer great visibility for increased safety and productivity. The 360-degree visibility and full-front glass allow the operator to see the front tires and attachments clearly. Attachments can be easily exchanged without leaving the cab.

On the larger end of the compact loader spectrum, the ZW100-6 and ZW120-6 incorporate many of the features and offerings of the larger Hitachi wheel loaders. These machines feature the Dash-6 range of engineering upgrades and advanced technologies that cover everything from environmental performance to operator comfort and safety to the machine’s total cost of ownership. Highlights include an easy-to-operate hydrostatic transmission, ConSite fleet management, operator-friendly ride control, new materials in the cab to absorb sound and reduce noise levels and the best visibility in the business, according to Hitachi.

Hitachi compact wheel loaders are very intuitive, making it possible for beginners to work like veteran operators. They offer a high level of performance without compromising efficiency. Every Hitachi product is also backed by a well-trained dealer network committed to their customers success.

With manufacturing facilities in Banshu, Ryugasaki, Tierra, Hitachinaka and Tsuchiura, Japan, and the U.S. corporate office and campus in Newnan, Ga., HCMA offers outstanding parts availability, customer and dealer training programs and a wide range of services and programs — providing outstanding support for Hitachi construction machinery.

Advice to Buyers

“The compact wheel loader market continues to expand as skid steer owners realize the benefits these machines bring to the jobsite,” says Sam Shelton, communications manager for HCMA. “Wheel loaders can offer as much as 10 times the tire life of skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. Furthermore, these compact wheel loaders save a third on fuel cost.”
