Editor at Large: Test driving Kubota’s RTV-X1120
For our June issue, the editors at Compact Equipment are visiting manufacturers to not only operate equipment but visit facilities and gain a better understanding about the companies behind the machines. My mission was to visit with Kubota at its corporate headquarters in Grapevine, Texas, and test drive its RTV-X1120 utility vehicle (I know, I have it rough). There, product marketing manager Roger Gifford spoke about the company’s latest UTV model as well as let myself and my colleague Todd Miller take the wheel. Together we learned all about the vehicle’s features and experienced firsthand what makes the RTV-X1120 a true workhorse (we’re talking hydrostatic transmission, 24.8-hp Kubota engine, hydraulic bed lift, etc.). We also got the chance to tour the company’s recently Gold LEED-certified corporate headquarters and marvel over its living wall, company gym and so much more. But enough talk.
