Bobcat Press Launch Day Five: The Machine Pictorial

When Bobcat held its 2010 construction media days last week, CE editor Keith Gribbins got the opportunity to operate the company’s coolest new compact machinery. He also took a few photos while digging and loading at the Atlanta Bobcat dealership. Below is a pictorial we’ve compiled (spiced up with a few new product shots from the Bobcat press kit). Wave your cursor over each picture to read the cutlines. Enjoy.

That gnarly grimace means Keith Gribbins digs this E35 – not a new machine, but it’s a sweet zero tail swing midi ex in the updated new Bobcat M-Series.

This is a crazy colorful photo from Bobcat of the new E50, which joins the Bobcat M-Series excavator line in the 4- to 5-ton weight class.

This T320 sound like a Cyberdyne Systems Terminator model, but it’s really a tough grading, heavy pushing, high flow compact track loader with vertical lift and an impressive 92-hp engine

Steady as she goes. A semi-synchronized gear transmission is now available on Bobcat CT335, CT445 and CT450 compact tractors, featuring 12 forward gears and 12 reverse gears with shuttle-shift capabilities for ease of use.

CE Editor Keith Gribbins attempts to jump over the cameraman in a new Bobcat utility vehicle. The company launched four new models — the 3200, 3400, 3400XL and 3450.

Time for lunch: Hmmm…wonder how many Lunchables and Capri Suns you can fit in this Bobcat 3400 UTV bed? Well, the cargo box load capacity is 1,100 lbs.

That morning drive to work never seemed so nice. Increased payloads, acceleration and top speeds are the direct result of the new horsepower ratings in both the gas and diesel engines in these utility vehicles — ranging from 24.8 to 32 hp.

They say Bobcat compact track loaders keep working when other equipment bogs down. When CE machine-head Keith Gribbins tested them out, they plowed through this Georgia-red dirt with power and grace.

Equipment World magazine’s Mike Anderson behind the joysticks of that Bobcat 630 skid steer loader. All that dirt is his.

Bobcat also released a new deluxe instrumentation panel at the event. The panel works in sync with attachments – like a tree spade or (pictured) a laser grader.

What a handsome devil – CE Editor Keith Gribbins is all grins at Bobcat Media Days. Send all fan mail to kgribbins@benjaminmedia.com.
