Kubota’s Brand-New SSV Line
Kubota recently diversified its construction equipment line with the introduction of two skid steer loaders, the new SSV65 and SSV75. With standard two-speed travel and optional high-flow hydraulics, Kubota’s skid steers will meet the needs of construction, rental and agriculture customers. The rated operating capacity is 1,950 and 2,690 lbs, respectively, for the SSV65 and SSV75. Both models feature a unique, slide-up, front-entry door that rises overhead instead of swinging out. Other standard features include a spacious, dust-resistant pressurized cabin with an optimized climate control system and a side light that allows for better visibility and safer operation at night.

The One-Armed JCB 260
JCB’s 260 skid steer loader is designed, manufactured and engineered in Savannah, Ga. As a vertical-lift machine, the 260 offers a rated operating capacity of 2,600 lbs. The 260 features JCB’s unique PowerBoom design, which allows operators to safely enter and exit the machine via a side-entry door. Multifunction joystick controls and an optional heated air-suspension seat with adjustable armrests make the 260 comfortable to operate. With O-ring face seal hydraulic fittings, a tilting cab, rear service door and top-opening hood, the 260 is also easy to service. Takeuchi’s TS80 with Multiple Lift Paths
Takeuchi-US recently updated its product offering with the introduction of the all new TS80 skid steer loaders that are available in both radial- and vertical-lift loader arrangements. The TS80 Series are the largest models in the Takeuchi skid steer product line that also includes the TS50 and TS60. The new TS80 skid steer loaders feature a 74-hp Tier 4 Final Deutz engine that delivers an impressive 192 ft-lbs of torque at 1,800 rpm. A key benefit of the new Deutz engine is its simple maintenance-free diesel oxidation catalyst that does not require regeneration, cleaning or diesel exhaust fluid. Several new options include ride control, bucket positioning and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics.

Terex’s Radial-Lift R165S
The Terex R165S radial-lift path skid steer loader has a rated operating capacity of 1,650 lbs at 50 percent tipping load (3,300 lbs). Loaders engineered with a radial-lift path, meaning the loader arms raise in an arc pattern, excel at digging and grading applications. This unit weighs in at 6,605 lbs operating weight and achieves 116 in. of lift height, as well as nearly 22 in. of reach. The R165S also boasts a 10.5-in. clearance and 28.4-degree rear angle of departure, which improves its ability to traverse soft, uneven terrain. The R165S has a 50-hp, Perkins diesel turbocharged engine with load sensing, variable flow hydraulics — the engine and hydraulic combination on the R165S offers 8,453 lbs of tractive effort.

The Case SV280 Loader

Wacker Neuson’s new skid steers are designed to meet the demands of contractors in the United States and Canada. The Revamped Volvo C-Series
Volvo Construction Equipment recently introduced additions to its C-Series skid steer loader and compact track loader lines in North America. The new wheeled and tracked models available through the Volvo Construction Equipment dealer network are the radial-lift MC60C and MC70C and the vertical-lift MC85C, MC95C and MCT85C. Rated operating capacities for these models range from 1,350 to 1,900 lbs and gross engine power from 48 to 59 hp. Featuring a single loader arm, Volvo says its skid steers offer customers the superior loading performance and durability found in a traditional skid steer design, along with the improved visibility, safety and enhanced cab access of a side-entry machine.
