Find the Technology that Works for You at Equip Exposition
If you’re attending Equip Exposition this year, be sure to find a good pair of walking shoes. The trade show — which is held October 21-24, at the Kentucky Exposition Center — will offer attendees more than a million square feet of exhibit space, plus a 30-acre Outdoor Demo Yard to explore.
Equip Exposition’s most recent press release emphasized attendees can discover all the software, equipment, drones and new technology that are rapidly changing how landscape contractors work and how managed landscapes and green spaces are maintained.
“Nowhere else can you see all the industry’s technology in one place. The most efficient way to see the industry’s innovations is to come to Equip Exposition — the latest smart technologies for lighting, equipment, irrigation, safety and more,” says Kris Kiser, president & CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI) which owns the show.
More on Equip Exposition

Equip Exposition’s Outdoor Demo Yard gives attendees the chance to “get their hands dirty” by testing out the latest, most cutting-edge equipment. The newly-expanded UTV Test Track also allows attendees to get behind the wheel and try out the latest four-wheel workhorses.
The ability to test out mowers attracted Brandon Writt, of Brandon’s Professional Services, to Equip Exposition last year. He said, “We’re looking to innovate the maintenance of grass cutting and improving time capacity. I wanted to come here to look at the opportunities for the technology in auto mowers.”
From the press release:
Inside the Kentucky Exposition Center, attendees can meet and talk with manufacturers designing and producing outdoor power equipment, drones, landscaping software, and inter-connected technology products that improve how landscaping contracting businesses operate and sell services. Attendees can even fly a drone in the Drone Zone and work toward drone pilot certification while at the show.
“Times are changing. Technology is changing. We want to do things better, more efficiently and spend less resources,” said Alexander “Lex” Allen, with Pacific Federal Management, who traveled from Guam last year to attend the show and improve how his company does business.
Equip Exposition — the 5th largest trade show in the U.S. — welcomed more 28,500 contractors, dealers and manufacturers last year. If you’re heading to the show, be sure to download the Equip Expo app, sponsored by Case Construction Equipment.
