Makita’s New Cordless 2 Gallon Quiet Series Compressor Provides Large Performance with the Lightest Weight in Its Class

Makita U.S.A. Inc., a manufacturer of professional tools, outdoor power equipment and cool accessories, recently released its new 40V max XGT Brushless 2 Gallon Quiet Series Compressor (model AC001G). Let’s dig into this unit.

Ideal for Indoor Applications

The compressor has the performance to drive up to 700 brad nails on a single charge of a 40V max XGT 4.0Ah battery, with a low noise emission of only 68 dB and the lightest weight in its class. With its low noise, light weight, and cordless design, it is ideal for interior trim and other applications

Portable and Versatile

The AC001G Compressor has the lowest weight in its class and has up to 10 lbs. lower than competitor models. The lightweight design allows the Compressor to be transported to just about anywhere with less fatigue to the end user for finish work including baseboard, crown molding, and more.

Performance and Power

The 2 Gallon Quiet Series Compressor features an efficient Makita-built brushless motor. The Compressor is rated at 1.2 CFM at 90 PSI and provides a maximum pressure output of 135 PSI which can be monitored in the large, easy to read gauges. The efficient design delivers up to 20% faster refill time from empty to full when compared to competitor models.

Convenience Features

The roll-cage construction provides the protection engineered to withstand a variety of job site, transporting, and storage environments. It features an oil-free pump for maintenance-free operation, a lever-handle tank drain for easy air tank release, and large pressure gauges for easier visibility of tank and hose pressure.

XGT: One System of Cordless Equipment and Tools

The new Compressor is part of Makita XGT, an expanding system of 40V max and 80V max cordless equipment and tools. XGT gives users one system, from core handheld tools like drills and impact drivers to equipment-grade products including high-capacity saws, rotary hammers, and power cutters — all powered by 40V max XGT batteries. The expanding XGT System will offer 125+ products in 2023.
