Hilti’s ON!Track technology is here to keep track of your tools

For contractors, asset loss is an expensive cost of doing business. More than $1 billion in valuable tools, commodities and consumables are lost each year. Keeping track of these assets and monitoring important items such as required certifications, inspections and maintenance records can be a time-consuming hassle for the construction professional.

Hilti RFID technologyAt World of Conrete 2016, Hilti walked us through its new ON!Track asset management system that was specifically designed to help solve these problems, save contractors money and reduce their liability. It gives contractors visibility into who has their assets, where are they located and tracks as they are moved between warehouses and jobsites. ON!Track also enables contractors to proactively manage repairs and inspections, set reminders for maintenance, and verify proper training/certifications before assigning certain assets.

No more large spreadsheets or whiteboards. ON!Track uses a three-part system to keep track of your assets and documents:

1. Cloud-based software. The user-friendly application is accessible from any web-enabled device. The subscription includes an unlimited number of users so customers can give secure access to relevant personnel.

2. Scanner and tags. An RFID-barcode scanner designed for construction environments and robust RFID-barcode tags make it simple to tag and inventory all your assets, from hammer drills to vehicles, to formwork, to scaffolding, to ladders and generators.

3. On-site and remote support. Hilti provides professional, on-site service for set-up and support. Hilti consultants will analyze customer processes and configure the software to increase productivity. A dedicated ON!Track hotline means customers can get help anytime.
