What to See at The ARA Show
According to the press release, Perkins will display its proven Perkins 904 Series 3.6-liter engine — a compact, power-dense platform supporting rental applications such as small telehandlers and skid steer loaders requiring up to 121 hp (90 kW). The company noted this four-cylinder engine meets U.S. Tier 4 Final standards and provides excellent performance in power, peak and low-speed torque, fuel consumption and transient response. The 904 Series engines are reliable and easy to service, as well as available with a range of configuration options to fit within tight engine bay space allocations. Perkins said the Perkins 404J-E22T will also be at its booth.
From the press release:
Designed for compact machinery — much of which is sold into rental — the power and torque available from this engine range gives customers excellent torque backup, increasing the overall power range available from the 400 Series engines. This engine provides customers with the power they need across different emissions territories.
The 400J is designed to suit a wide variety of compact construction and industrial applications. Construction applications such as mini excavators, skid steer loaders and mini wheeled loaders are a significant market for this product. Perkins is also aware of the need for this size of engine in other high-volume equipment such as forklift trucks, compressors, welders, aerial work platforms, compaction equipment, sweepers and pumps.
Perkins Rental Support Program
In the press release, the company highlighted the Perkins Rental Support Program (PRSP). The program offers resources and tools that are designed to help improve shop efficiency and expand business opportunities. Perkins is also a part of the SmartEquip network, which offers flexible parts ordering, ease of access to parts manuals and in-depth search capabilities. This allows customers to help find the parts they need when they need them.
