Hyundai Will Launch New Skid Steers and a Compact Track Loader at bauma 2025
At bauma 2025 in Munich (April 7-13), Hyundai Construction Equipment will unveil a new range of compact loaders. The company will launch two skid steer loaders and one compact track loader. These machines mark Hyundai’s deeper push into the compact loader market, following its 2023 relaunch. Hyundai will debut the HS80V and HS120V skid steer loaders alongside the HT100V compact track loader. Hyundai designed these machines for versatility and productivity in off-highway construction and landscaping. Let’s learn more…
Performance and Engine Specifications
The HS80V weighs 3.2 metric tons and delivers a rated operating capacity of 885 kg at 50 percent tipping load. It runs on a 49.5-kW (66.4 -hp) engine. The larger HS120V weighs 3.7 metric tons and lifts up to 1,220 kg at 50 percent tipping load, powered by a 54.9-kW (73.6-hp) engine. The compact tracked loader, HT100V, weighs 4.4 metric tons and offers a capacity of 1,490 kg. All three models incorporate vertical-lift path loader arms. This design raises the bucket to full height without spillage and improves stability.
Travel speeds vary among the machines. The HS80V reaches up to 11.9 km/h using single-speed travel motors. The HS120V features dual-speed travel, achieving up to 19.8 km/h. The HT100V uses twin-speed travel motors with a maximum of 11.5 km/h. Optional high-flow hydraulics boost the skid steer’s flow up to 128.8 L/min and the CTL’s flow up to 82.9 L/min. All models feature EU Stage V diesel engines that meet stringent emissions standards without diesel exhaust fluid.
Advanced Features and Operator Comfort
Each model sports an industry-standard flat-faced hydraulic quick coupler. A 14-pin electrical connector enables control of more complex attachments (think an angle broom or stump grinder) from within the cab. The spacious cabin features an easy open sliding door, full-width front window, and effective air conditioning. LED working lights and a rearview camera enhance safety and visibility. Operators use two multi-function joysticks for precise control of driving, boom, and bucket functions. Engine speed adjusts via a rotary dial or foot pedal. All machines include a ride control system that uses a hydraulic accumulator to reduce shock loads. Hyundai also offers the Hi MATE telematics system for real-time performance monitoring and streamlined service planning.
Relaunch Recap: 2023 Skid Steer and Track Loader Lineup
In 2023, Hyundai reentered the skid steer and compact track loader market in North America. The HS and HT Series filled a gap in Hyundai’s compact equipment portfolio. These models were marketed on their attention to performance, durability and operator comfort. The 2023 relaunch laid the groundwork for the enhanced models now debuting at bauma 2025.
Expanding the Mini Excavator Lineup
Hyundai reinforced its compact equipment range with new mini excavators in 2024. The HX-A series received four new models — HX17AZ, HX27AZ, HX55ACR and HX60A. These machines feature low-emission engines and advanced hydraulic systems. They complement the skid steers and CTL by offering additional versatility on jobsites.
North American Customization Center in Georgia
Hyundai Construction Equipment North America recently opened a state-of-the-art Customization Center in Brunswick, Georgia. The new facility streamlines assembly and modifications for dealer-specific configurations. It reduces lead times and supports advanced hydraulic upgrades and accessory installations. Modeled after a successful European center, the facility enhances Hyundai’s ability to deliver tailored solutions quickly and efficiently.
