JCB North American Dealer Network Expands with Addition of Buck and Knobby Equipment

Buck & Knobby Equipment, headquartered in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, is now a new JCB dealer for northwest Ohio. To better serve customers, the company is building a designated JCB dealership in Holland, Ohio later this year. The new location will offer JCB’s industry-leading backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, excavators, rough terrain forklifts and the world’s safest and most innovative skid steer and compact track loaders with a unique side-entry door and a patented, single-arm PowerBoom.

Northwest Ohio customers interested in learning more about JCB equipment are invited to attend Buck and Knobby Equipment’s annual open house event at the company headquarters, located at 6220 West Sterns Road in Ottawa Lake, Michigan, on Saturday, April 23 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to view several models of JCB equipment on display as well as live equipment demonstrations. Special sales and finance promotions will be offered exclusively to attendees, and sales professionals will be available to answer questions. The event will also include a family fun day, featuring live entertainment, horse-drawn wagon rides, games, prizes, refreshments and the exclusive JCB event truck.

Founded in 1948 by Melvin R. (Buck) Cole and Lloyd R. (Knobby) Nolfo, Buck & Knobby Equipment began as a small equipment company in Toledo, Ohio. As the business grew, Buck and Knobby decided to move the company to a new location in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. Today, the company remains headquartered in the same Ottawa Lake location but has expanded to include over 100 acres and multiple buildings. With the new location coming later this year, the company is excited to be back in the Toledo area.

“We are thrilled to partner with JCB and are looking forward to our upcoming event as a way to show our customers our appreciation and the many capabilities and benefits of high-quality JCB equipment,” said Gerry Maibach, Business Manager at Buck & Knobby Equipment. “JCB’s commitment to providing solutions for nearly any application and Buck & Knobby’s  unwavering dedication to our customers is a perfect blueprint for sustainable growth.”

Buck & Knobby Equipment’s Holland, Ohio location will have a wide variety of new and used equipment available for rent or purchase, as well as a fully staffed service and parts department. The company will also offer service and equipment repair both at the dealership and in the field for added customer convenience and minimal downtime.

“For almost 70 years, Buck & Knobby Equipment has been recognized as the business partner that local customers can always rely upon,” said Dan Schmidt, JCB North America’s Vice President of Sales. “JCB’s reliable, durable equipment and the company’s outstanding service will ensure Buck & Knobby continues to exceed its customers’ expectations.”
