J. J. Keller and ISEA Launch PPE Pain Points Study to Improve Safety Program Insights

J. J. Keller & Associates Inc. and the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) have launched the 2025 PPE Pain Points Study, a collaborative effort to understand the daily challenges safety professionals face in managing personal protective equipment programs. Click here to participate in the study. The study focuses on how EHS and safety managers develop PPE programs, purchase equipment, train teams and ensure proper use across industries such as construction, manufacturing and utilities. Safety leaders can complete the online PPE Pain Points Survey through December 1, 2025. Participants should manage or influence PPE use within their organization to qualify. From the press release:
“Our goal, in the J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights, is to listen closely to the experiences that professionals in transportation, manufacturing, construction and a multitude of other industries have every day that challenge their ability to keep their teams safe,” said Susan Baranczyk, Head of Corporate Communications with J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. “We share the results as widely as possible to inform and create conversation that will lead to overcoming the challenges. The unique perspective of ISEA’s staff in standards development, and their extensive membership base, helps the J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights reach wider and critical audiences. So we’re excited to once again collaborate with ISEA on the study.”
Continuing a Benchmarking Effort

Now in its fourth year, the study builds on data gathered by the J. J. Keller Center for Market Insights, which examines safety and compliance trends across North America. This is the second year Keller and ISEA have partnered to expand participation and deepen insights. The collected data will help inform industry standards, strengthen purchasing processes and highlight areas where PPE programs can improve. The goal is to make workplaces safer through shared experience and data-driven recommendations. Compact equipment contractors and fleet managers rely on PPE every day to protect crews in demanding environments. By contributing to this study, readers can help shape the next generation of safety standards and best practices. The survey results will reflect real-world experiences — not marketing claims — offering actionable feedback to manufacturers and policymakers.
