AED Completes the First Leg of the “Driving for Dealers” Bus Tour

Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) embarked on a ten-day multi-city bus tour last week to visit equipment dealers across the Midwest, Great Plains, Rocky Mountains and the West. Over the first three days of the tour, AED executives have met with a dozen dealer members in three states, logging 733 miles along the way. The purpose of the tour is to highlight the critical need for federal infrastructure legislation.

“It was great to meet and hear first-hand how our members are weathering COVID as well as the important impact the re-authorization of the highway trust fund is to sustaining their businesses,” stated AED president and CEO Brian P. McGuire. “Infrastructure jobs will go a long way toward economic recovery as we hopefully begin to move past the pandemic.”

Concurrently, AED is engaged in an unprecedented grassroots outreach campaign to congress. To date, 76% of AED members have generated more than 800 letters to their U.S. Senators.
