Heavy-duty Attachment Removes Trees and Posts with Power, Protection and Precision

Ignite Attachments has launched a new tree and fence post puller for skid steers and compact track loaders. Built for landowners, contractors and property managers, the attachment pulls trees up to 8 in. in diameter — roots and all. It eliminates the need for stump grinding or chainsaws and cuts cleanup time. From the press release:

“Ignite’s goal is to deliver tools that make real work easier, not more complicated,” said Trisha Pearson, business director at Ignite Attachments. “This puller does exactly that. It’s strong, smart and versatile—engineered to give customers more capability without increasing cost or complexity.”

Key Specs and Features

  • Jaw capacity: Trees up to 8 in.
  • Weight: 337 lbs
  • Frame: Laser-cut steel
  • Hydraulics: 2.5-in. bore cylinder with 1.25-in. rod and pins
  • Jaw options: Standard serrated or optional post-specific jaws
  • Protection: Bolt-on cylinder guard and sleeved hydraulic hoses
  • Push bar: Angled for safety and leverage
  • Receiver hitch: Built-in 2-in. receiver for added functionality
  • Entry step: Optional bolt-on step for cab access
  • Quick attach: Universal skid steer interface with flat-face couplers

The forward-angled push bar directs trees away from the operator, offering safety and added leverage. A bolt-on guard shields hydraulic cylinders from limbs and debris. Operators can also install an optional side step for easier entry and exit. From the press release:

“Our team benchmarked leading models in the market and combined that with direct operator feedback, and what we found was clear — the push bar wasn’t just helpful, it was necessary,” said Trisha Pearson, business director at Ignite Attachments. “The push bar allows the operator to guide pulled trees forward away from the cab, better protecting the machine and the operator. That insight drove our decision to include it in the design, even at a value-focused price point. It’s a simple addition that makes a major difference on the job.”

Dual-Purpose Jaw Design

Standard serrated jaws handle tree roots and brush. For post removal, operators can swap in jaws designed to grip round wooden or metal posts without crushing them. Each jaw set mounts with just two bolts for fast changes in the field. A 2-in. receiver also hitch turns the puller into a dual-purpose tool. Operators can tow trailers or move materials without detaching the puller — ideal for remote jobsites or small crews.
