FAE has added a new wheel saw attachment to its construction lineup. The RWL/SSL is built for skid steers and compact track loaders in the 50- to 75-hp range. It’s designed for trenching work to lay electric, water, gas and fiber-optic lines. The RWL/SSL cuts channels up to 14 in. deep. Operators can choose modular widths of 1, 1.2 or 2 in. The attachment comes with a depth indicator for precise operation and self-leveling skids to maintain accuracy. Optimized side output keeps trenches free of material. FAE engineered the wheel saw for plug-and-play use with leading skid steer and compact track loader brands. Its hydraulic and electrical systems allow straightforward installation. Teeth options are available for asphalt or concrete surfaces.

Standard Features

FAE RWL/SSL: The new wheel saw for 50-75 hp skid steers.

The RWL/SSL comes with a direct-drive transmission, hydraulic side shifting and a 12V diverter valve. It includes an 860 cc hydraulic piston motor, safety valves and a dust-resistant machine body. Hardox soles, counter blades and interchangeable sectors extend service life. The design also features supporting legs, hydraulic hoses, movable frame sides and rubber protection strips.

Optional Water Spray System

FAE offers the Basic Water Spray System (WSS) for the RWL/SSL. The WSS reduces dust, prevents overheating and helps extend tooth life. The system also provides moisture to the trench base, which can support binding agents during certain applications. The WSS comes in two versions — Basic and High Flow — with varying levels of control.
