Chalmers Innovations Unveils Lock and Lift Plow Kit for Utility Vehicles

Chalmers Innovations, based in Castle Rock, Colorado, is heading to Louisville next week with a clever new snow solution. The company will debut its Lock and Lift Plow Kit at the 2025 Equip Expo, taking place October 22–24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center. Visitors can check out the new system in action at booth #42529. From the press release:
“Our design prioritizes reliability and operator convenience. By utilizing robust steel components and the inherent versatility of the winch, we’ve created a cost-effective retrofit for popular UTV plow frames while preserving full lift functionality.” — Steve Chalmers, owner, president and chief design officer at Chalmers Innovations.
Lock and Lift Plow Kit Debuts at Equip Expo

The Lock and Lift Plow Kit gives UTV operators full control of their plow angle without hydraulics. The system uses the vehicle’s existing winch to unlock and relock the plow blade. To change angle, the operator retracts the winch to free the blade, steers left or right while reversing to set position, then extends the winch to lock it back in place. This winch-integrated approach eliminates manual adjustments and keeps plowing quick, safe and simple. It’s built from all-steel components, bolts onto popular UTV plow frames and preserves full lift functionality. Kits for Polaris, Kolpin and other frames are in development.
Operators can now angle their plow from the driver’s seat. The Lock and Lift Kit maintains the winch’s lifting role while adding rotation control, making it a smart retrofit for UTV owners who want powered-angle performance without powered-angle cost. Chalmers says production is underway, with the first units expected to ship before year’s end.
Following the TiltPlow Innovation

Compact Equipment first took notice of Chalmers earlier this year when the company introduced its TiltPlow attachment for compact tractors at the 2025 National Farm Machinery Show. Like the new Lock and Lift system, the TiltPlow eliminated the need for extra hydraulics by using the front-end loader’s tilt function to unlock, angle and relock the blade. The TiltPlow was easy to use, affordable and compatible with skid steer and John Deere quick-attach systems — an impressive entry into the snow removal market.
