Honda Generators Sponsor Racing Action at Talladega
At 2.66 miles long, Talladega is the largest and most steeply banked oval track in the Sprint Cup Series. Speeds well in excess of 200 mph were commonplace at the Eastaboga, Ala., track before the advent of restrictor plates, and the oval is notorious for its big multi-car pileups that fans and drivers dub “The Big One.”
It’s a venue of power and speed, which is why Honda Power Equipment decided to team up with one of NASCAR’s biggest success stories to promote its line of portable generators.
“Honda generators are an ideal match for one of the most competitive sport environments in the world, offering racing teams and racing enthusiasts durable and quiet power for a broad range of applications,” said Steve Bailey, vice president of Honda Power Equipment. “Honda Power Equipment is both honored and excited to be working with such a legendary and historical track.”
Honda Power Equipment announced a new sponsorship agreement with Talladega Superspeedway, making Honda’s series of portable generators the track’s “Official Generator.” As an official sponsor, Honda Generators will host an interactive display in the souvenir/display area at Talladega during each NASCAR race to demonstrate its full-line of generators to race attendees. In addition, Honda representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide support to the race teams, fans, vendors and campers that rely upon generator power at each race.
“We are proud to welcome Honda Generators to Talladega Superspeedway,” said Talladega Superspeedway president Rick Humphrey. “We look forward to displaying their products to our thousands of loyal race fans and sharing the strength of the Talladega Superspeedway brand.”
Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of generators for commercial and consumer applications. Lightweight, compact Honda generators produce between 1,000 and 6,500 watts of power, providing smooth, dependable power for recreation, construction, rental and emergency use.
