Boxer Equipment introduces 120 dedicated trencher
Morbark Inc., the manufacturer of the Boxer Equipment line of compact utility loaders, has introduced a new model to its line: the Boxer 120 Dedicated Trencher. The 120 Trencher made its trade show debut at the GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., from Oct. 22-24.
The Boxer 120 Trencher, completely restyled and redesigned from the previous 118 model, takes gasoline-powered compact trenching equipment to the next level, boasting up to 740 ft-lbs (1003 N•m) of torque output for ample power in the toughest digging conditions.
“We’re excited to add this model to our offerings,” said Jason Showers, Boxer Product Manager. “The Boxer 120 Trencher features many class-leading characteristics not found on competitive units. In a world of walk-behind trenchers, the 120 Trencher is the only unit designed as a ride-on unit, allowing better visibility to the trencher assembly and the job being completed.”
The 120 Trencher is also the only unit in its class to feature a spring-loaded trencher boom and standard crumber assembly. The spring-loaded boom helps retain even chain tension and allows for roots, rocks and debris traveling around the end roller, and is designed to compress, removing much of the stress to the head shaft and reducing chain wear. The adjustable crumber assembly keeps loose dirt in the trench close to the chain for a cleaner finished trench. Another key feature is the ergonomically designed operators control station with all controls accessible for two-hand operation.
