Compact Size, Solid Capability
The 47.6-hp V7 weighs 9,370 lbs and sits neatly between Yanmar’s V4-7 and V8 models. It carries a 0.92-yd³ bucket standard, with optional upgrades that push capacity past 1 cubic yard. That size and power combination makes the loader ideal for landscaping, municipal work, snow removal and smaller construction projects. The V7 travels up to 18.6 mph, helping operators move quickly between jobsite tasks. It also benefits from a low center of gravity and compact dimensions, making it easier to operate in confined areas than larger loaders.
Jobsite-Friendly Features
Yanmar designed the V7 with a mix of maneuverability and operator-focused features. Highlights include:
- ±40° articulation and ±10° oscillation for ground stability
- Parallel kinematics that keep loads level through the lift cycle
- Ergonomic joystick controls for intuitive, precise operation
- Dual-entry doors and wide visibility from the enclosed cab
- Heated suspension seat for long days in the cab
- Easy ground-level access to daily service points
The machine also comes ready for quick attachment changes, thanks to its hydraulic coupler compatibility.
Specs Snapshot
Here’s a quick look at the numbers that define the V7:
- Horsepower: 47.6 hp (Yanmar 4TNV86CT diesel)
- Operating weight: 9,370 lbs
- Bucket capacity: 0.92 yd³ standard
- Operating load: 2,778 lbs
- Breakout force: 9,217 lbs
- Tipping load (articulated): 5,864 lbs
- Dump clearance: 8 ft, 2 in.
- Travel speed: 12.4 mph standard, 18.6 mph high range
These specs give the V7 enough muscle to move material efficiently while still keeping transport simple.
Operator Experience
Inside the enclosed cab option, operators get dual steel-framed doors that improve entry, airflow and communication. Visibility is wide thanks to the glass-heavy design. Comfort features include a heated high-backed suspension seat, ergonomic armrests and a standard sun blind to cut down on glare. A Bluetooth radio rounds out the cab, giving operators more control over their workday environment. For operators who spend long hours in the loader, these features matter. They cut fatigue and help maintain productivity. There are also three operational modes: standard, eco and creep.
Part of a Bigger Picture
The V7 is more than a new machine — it’s a sign of Yanmar’s bigger push in compact equipment. The company recently announced that its North American lineup is complete, spanning compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and tracked carriers. This expansion, paired with new warranty and operator programs, positions Yanmar as a serious player in compact construction equipment.
