Kubota Utility Vehicles Summarized — 2019 Spec Guide

The Best-Selling Diesel UTVs in North America
Kubota promotes its RTV line as true workhorse vehicles, regardless of the task or conditions. In fact, Kubota RTVs have been named the best-selling diesel utility vehicles in North America since 2004, according to Power Products Marketing North American Utility Vehicle Market Reports. Offering a wide-range of mid-size and full-size utility vehicles in its lineup, Kubota has the right RTV to help with almost any operation.
The latest additions to the Kubota line, the RTV-XG850 Sidekick and the RTV-X1120, continue raising the bar on performance, quality and reliability. The RTV-XG850 Sidekick is Kubota’s fastest utility vehicle yet, with a 48-hp gasoline engine, delivering speeds of up to 40 mph. Designed for easy handling at any speed, the Sidekick offers a comfortable drive with its enhanced speed-sensitive electronic power steering (EPS), improving both handling and stability. Tuned front and rear independent suspension offers a smooth ride, and engine-assisted braking allows for greater control and increased safety during descents. The Sidekick is also capable, with 1,000 lbs of cargo capacity and up to 2,000 lbs of towing capacity.
The RTV-X1120, which features a 24.8-hp diesel engine, is the company’s most well-equipped utility vehicle at the best price among its competition, says Kubota. Designed for commercial customers who use these machines for heavy-duty work every day, the Kubota RTV-X1120 combines Kubota quality with enhanced power, torque and performance. Kubota-built, the three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine provides extra acceleration and climbing power. The engine and VHT-X transmission provide a top speed of 29 mph as well as plenty of hill-climbing power. With the increased speed comes an increased dynamic load, so the RTV-X1120 comes equipped with three-point seat belts for safety. Kubota’s X Series was designed for comfort and convenience under tough working conditions, and the RTV-X1120 includes style and creature comforts found in the RTV-X family.
Advice to Buyers
“Market research shows consumers want a multipurpose utility vehicle that delivers rugged reliability and speed,” says Roger Gifford, Kubota product marketing manager for utility vehicles. “Based on extensive research, find a UTV that was designed as a reliable workhorse and maybe is also a powerful, fun-to-drive machine.”
