Cushman introduces new product names for utility vehicles

On July 21, Cushman will realign its product offerings and launch new names for its 1600XD series. The 1600XD vehicles will become part of the Hauler family, specifically under the Hauler 4X4 category. Both of the diesel units will be named Hauler 4X4. Following the name change, the Hauler 4X4 will contain three vehicle models: the new Hauler 4X4 gas, Hauler 4X4 diesel, and Hauler 4X4 diesel crew, which offers 4-passenger seating.

The renaming will not change product specifications, and all other Cushman vehicles’ nomenclature will remain unchanged.

“This was a necessary change to accommodate our expanding 4X4 product portfolio, and will allow us to better serve our existing and future customers,” said Hamish Lusty, vice president of Commercial Business for Cushman.

All of the Hauler 4X4 products offer standard user-selectable four-wheel drive, four-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel braking. Because of Cushman’s strong commitment to safety, the 4×4 series includes standard three-point seatbelts, a Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) and a conservative 25 mph top speed.

Since 1901, Cushman vehicles have been recognized light-transportation solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Today, Cushman products include more than 10 different vehicle models, from the rugged Hauler 4X4 utility vehicle, ideal for tough hauling and towing tasks in outdoor environments, to the imposing Titan, a fully electric material-handling vehicle for indoor environments with a load capacity of 3,000 pounds, to the Minute Miser, perfectly suited for transporting people and small loads across large facilities. Cushman vehicles are sold by the E-Z-GO Division of Textron Inc., a global, multi-industry company based in Providence, R.I.
