Curtis Industries Launches AC Cab for John Deere Gator XUV855M S4

Curtis Industries has released an all-new air-conditioned cab for the four-seat John Deere Gator XUV855M S4 utility vehicle. The system delivers true air conditioning for operators who run crew UTVs year-round. The new cab targets fleets and contractors that need climate control during long workdays. It is designed for both front and rear passengers. From the press release:
“Four-passenger utility vehicles require a different approach to climate control,” said David Breault, Director of Sales & Marketing at Curtis Industries, LLC. “This system was designed to move serious air throughout the entire cabin, allowing both rows to experience the same level of cooling and comfort in tough working environments.”
The system uses a low-profile, all-aluminum rooftop unit (see photo below!). It arrives fully assembled. Hoses and wiring come pre-connected.
Airflow and Cooling Capacity

The cab includes 10 adjustable vents. That seems like a lot. Two double squirrel cage blowers move 610 cfm. A 24,000-BTU evaporator core provides cooling for one-row and two-row seating. Operators control airflow with a three-speed blower. An electronic thermostat manages temperature. A blend door selects fresh air, recirculated air or a mix. Curtis designed the exterior unit for easy access. A removable cover exposes fuses and relays. A large inlet grille feeds air to the condenser fan. These features reduce downtime during service checks.
Retrofit Option Available
Curtis will also offer a retrofit kit with an AC roof. Existing Curtis cab owners can upgrade without replacing the full enclosure. This option matters for fleets that already run Curtis systems. The all-AC cab is in stock. It is available through local John Deere dealers.
Recent Curtis UTV Products We’ve Covered

Curtis has expanded its UTV comfort lineup during the past year. Compact Equipment recently covered half-door kits and air-conditioning systems for Kubota diesel UTVs. Those releases focused on seasonal flexibility and retrofit installs. We also covered Curtis air-conditioning units for Kubota RTV-X Crew, X1140 and X1130 cab systems. Those products used similar low-profile rooftop designs and overhead controls. The new Gator XUV855M S4 cab builds on that same technical foundation. It extends full climate control to John Deere’s four-seat utility vehicle platform.
A Continued Push into Cab Comfort
Curtis continues to focus on operator comfort for compact equipment and UTVs. The all-AC cab for the Gator XUV855M S4 adds another option for crews that work in heat, dust and wet conditions year-round.
